The awards recognize the role maintenance and engineering departments play in the successful, cost-effective, and energy-efficient operations of the nation's institutional and commercial facilities. The department, along with the University of Chicago, were the only two recipients recognized in the Financial Management category, which recognizes stand-out results in budgeting, savings, and capital planning.
”I am proud of the accomplishments being made within the Maintenance Department to support the School District’s strategic plan, while maximizing the efficient use of funding allocated to our department,” said Mark Cavinee, Director of Maintenance for the Osceola School District. “This award is a testament to the great staff of the Maintenance Department that our efforts are being recognized. I am proud to be a part of this great team.” The district will receive the award at the National Facilities Management and Technology Conference on November 6-7, 2018.

Facility Maintenance Decisions is the only magazine written exclusively to meet the information needs of engineering and maintenance managers with institutional and commercial facilities.
