About School Board Member Ricky Booth:

Graduated from St. Cloud High School in 1996 and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from the University of Florida in 2001.

A 5th generation resident of Osceola County, Ricky is continuing the tradition of his pioneer cattle ranching family. During his career in beef cattle production, he has twice been named Osceola County Cattlemen's Leader and Rancher of the Year, has served as a cattle research advisor for the USDA and the University of Florida, and has represented Florida's cattle industry at national and international events.

He and his wife Erika, also a St. Cloud High School and University of Florida graduate, have three children - Nellie, Natalie, and Thomas.  Erika worked as an elementary educator in Osceola County for 15 years. Currently, she is a Special Projects Manager for a local not-for-profit organization.  Ricky and Erika's children attend public school in District 5.

Community Involvement
Ricky is a member of the First Christian Church of Kissimmee and the Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show and Fair organization. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Osceola County Cattlemen's Association, Osceola County Farm Bureau, and the Silver Spurs Rodeo Club. In 2013, he was appointed to the Greater Osceola Partnership for Economic Prosperity Agriculture Advisory Committee. Ricky also volunteers as a little league coach.
