New Administrative Appointment Banner ImageOn January 21, the Osceola County School Board approved the following administrative appointments:

Dr. Amy Flowers, Principal of St. Cloud Elementary School
During her career, Amy Flowers has held the following positions: Teacher at Pinecrest Elementary in Seminole County (1994-1997); Teacher at St. Cloud Elementary/Ross E. Jeffries/Kenansville (1998-2004); Literacy Coach at St. Cloud Elementary (2005-2012); Assistant Principal at Partin Settlement Elementary (2012-2018); and Assistant Principal at St. Cloud Elementary (2018-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida International University, a master's degree in Reading K-12 from the University of Central Florida, and a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida.


Christina Harrell, Principal of St. Cloud Middle School

During her career, Christina Harrell has held the following positions: Teacher at St. Cloud Middle (2006-2011); Dean of Students at St. Cloud Middle (2011-2013); Learning Resource Specialist/Testing Coordinator at St. Cloud Middle (2012-2014); Assistant Principal at St. Cloud Middle (2014-2018); and Assistant Principal at Denn John Middle (2018-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Central Florida and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education.


Shannon Mahoney, Principal of Neptune Elementary
During her career, Shannon Mahoney has held the following positions: Teacher at New Beginnings Educational Complex (2001-2002); Director of St. John's Episcopal Church Music, Drama, and Dance Program (2003-2007); Teacher and Math Specialist at Waterbridge Elementary School in Orlando (2002-2007); Teacher at South Pittsburg Elementary School in Tennessee (2007-2009); Learning Resource Specialist and Reading/Math/Science Coach at Koa Elementary (2009-2012); MTSS Coach and Learning Resource Specialist at Neptune Elementary (2012-2015); and Assistant Principal at Neptune Elementary (2015-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Capella University. She is currently working on her doctorate degree in Leadership and Management at Capella University.


Amanda DeRight, Interim Assistant Principal at Central Avenue Elementary
During her career, Amanda DeRight has held the following positions: Teacher, RtI/MTSS Coach, Testing Coordinator, and Math and Science Coach at Kissimmee Elementary (2005-2014) and K-5 Mathematics Resource Teacher for the Osceola School District (2014-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University, a master's degree in Elementary Math and Reading K-6 from Walden University, and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education.


TRANSFER:

David Noyes, current Principal of Kissimmee Elementary, will be transferring to be Principal of Canoe Creek.
