This award is given to Ms. Kesecker in recognition for her being an exemplary professional who serves the strategic objectives of the district, for her outstanding contributions to the public procurement profession, and as a testament to the Osceola School District's outstanding business practices. She was selected out of over 200 Central Florida public procurement officials from nearly 100 local agencies, including counties, cities, School Boards, authorities, utilities, and special districts. She was nominated by her peers, and she was selected by unanimous vote by the Central Florida Chapter of NIGP Board of Directors.

"It is a great honor to be recognized by the Central Florida Chapter of NIGP as their 2016 Buyer of the Year," said Lisa Kesecker. "As a professional, I have worked hard to obtain both my State and National Certifications to demonstrate my competency. For those engaged in governmental purchasing, this attests to our ability to obtain maximum value for the taxpayer's dollar. By following School Board Rules, local guidelines, and state regulations that pertain to Purchasing, I am better able to serve the students of our district."
