Update 03/20/2020:

In response to the COVID-19 situation, effective tomorrow, Saturday, March 21st the SDOC Center for Employee Health will modify its clinical operations for Saturday coverage. Until further notice, the health center staff will be available for telephonic triage, telephonic provider consultations and tele-visits during Saturday office hours. Regular clinic operations for in-person visits will continue as usual Monday-Friday each week.

In addition to modified Saturday coverage, health center staff may contact you to reschedule any existent non-emergent appointments, or request to conduct them telephonically, or via TeleVisit.

We thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we take these important safeguards to protect the safety and well-being of our patients and health center staff.

Our partners at RosenCare, Healics and the SDOC Center for Employee Health understand that many of you and your family members are worried about COVID-19. We assure you that our team at the health center is working diligently to ensure they are prepared to help prevent the spread of further disease. As always, health center staff are diligently cleaning patient areas of the center and increasing the frequency of those cleanings as well. When entering the health center, you may notice some changes; perhaps staff are wearing masks or you as a patient may be asked to wear a mask, wash or sanitize your hands. Rest assured, these measures are in place simply to ensure we are doing all we can to mitigate the spread of illness.

Another change you may notice is an enhanced triage protocol when scheduling appointments. In order for this protocol to be effective, we ask for your cooperation by calling in advance for all appointments, eliminating any unscheduled/walk-in visits to the health center. Upon scheduling, you will be screened based on your symptoms, travel history and potential exposure to the Coronavirus. If you are identified as at risk for exposure to the virus, you may be referred to a different healthcare facility for testing.

While the SDOC Center for Employee Health does have the ability to test for COVID-19, due to a national shortage, testing supplies are extremely limited, allowing the health center to only procure minimal tests at a time. In an effort to conserve available resources, testing at the health center will be limited until supplies can be made more readily available.

We also ask for your cooperation in continuing to take common sense measures that support infection control: wash your hands often, cover your coughs and stay home when you are ill.



Cigna has lifted the refill too soon provision:

Because of the impact COVID-19 is having on Alaska, Delaware, Florida, Kentucky and Maryland, and to ensure that our members in these states have convenient access to their prescriptions during this potentially trying time, effective immediately, Cigna Pharmacy Management has ordered the waiving of all Refill Too Soon restrictions in these states.

This order is in effect from 03/17/2020 with no current end date.

Please contact your pharmacy if you wish to get refills of your medications. You must have an active prescription with available refills from your physician to obtain the refill.
