On February 18, the Osceola County School Board approved the following administrative appointments:


 

 

 

 

Photo of Dr. Cleveland
Dr. Melanie Cleveland, currently Assistant Principal at Lakeview Elementary, will be Principal at Lakeview Elementary.
During her career, Dr. Melanie Cleveland has held the following positions: Teacher and Reading Coach in Hillsborough County Public Schools (1999-2008); Coordinator for Secondary Curriculum and Instruction for the Osceola School District (2008-2011); Supervisor for Secondary Reading for Hillsborough County Public Schools (2011-2012); Senior Administrator for Curriculum and Instruction (2012-2015); and Assistant Principal at Heritage High in Brevard Public Schools, Osceola High School, and Lakeview Elementary (2015-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Pfeiffer University, a master's degree in English Education from the University of South Florida, and a doctorate degree in Administrator Leadership in Teaching and Learning from Walden University.

During her career, Melanie Crawford has held the following positions: Teacher at Cypress Elementary (2010-2014); Dean of Students at Denn John Middle (2014-2017); and Dean of Students at Narcoossee Middle (2017-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from Syracuse University, a master's degree in Special Education from Columbia University,and an Administrative Certificate from Johns Hopkins University.

Dania Perlaza, Assistant Principal at Denn John Middle School
During her career, Dania Perlaza has held the following positions: Teacher and Math/Science Coach at Discovery Intermediate (2007-2013); Teacher at Parkway Middle (2013-2015); Math Coach at Liberty High (2015-2018); and Math Resource Teacher in Middle School Curriculum for the Osceola School District (2018-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Hunter College, a master's degree in Education/Special Education - Middle School from Touro College, and a Education Specialist degree in Leadership and Administration from Walden University.
