The School District of Osceola County is committed to providing an environment where all students have equitable access to digital technology. To support this goal, students are provided access to district-issued devices based on their grade level and instructional needs. Kindergarten and 1st-grade students utilize classroom iPads. Students in grades 2 through 5 utilize classroom sets of Windows devices, with select classrooms at pilot schools utilizing MacBook devices. Students in grades 6 through 12 are assigned a personal 1:1 Windows device.

Students in grades K-5 may be assigned a 1:1 device for take-home use upon parent request, based on educational need and district approval.

Students assigned devices for take-home use are expected to bring their fully charged devices to school each day, ready for instructional use. They should also take their devices home daily to ensure continued access to digital resources and learning opportunities outside of school.

Students are expected to properly care for and protect all district-issued devices. Damage is defined as any material change, whether caused by negligence, accident, or intent, that affects a device's functionality or appearance. In the event of damage, a fee may be assessed to the student, parent, or legal guardian based on the cause and extent of the damage.
