Osceola Virtual School

Osceola Virtual School (OVS) provides flexible online learning opportunities for students in grades K through 12 within the School District of Osceola County. Through a standards-based digital curriculum supported by certified district teachers, OVS allows students to complete coursework remotely while receiving some resources from the public school system. The school offers both full-time virtual enrollment and part-time online courses for students attending traditional or non-traditional schools, providing options for credit acceleration, credit recovery, and flexible scheduling to meet diverse student needs.

  • Online learning: Students complete coursework through an online platform  

    District teachers: Courses are taught and supported by certified Osceola County teachers, not external instructors 

    Flexible schedule: Students do not follow a traditional bell schedule and can access lessons 24/7, though they must stay on pace with course requirements 

     

    Multiple enrollment options

    Full-time virtual school (students attend OVSS instead of a physical school) 

    Part-time / FLEX courses (students at a traditional school take one or more online classes) 

    Home education students who want district-supported online courses academics 

    All students may take six courses per semester. 

    They may participate in live virtual lessons (Zoom) and in-person testing when required. 

    High school students can earn a standard diploma through the program if enrolled full-time.
